Ana Anahory

Ana Anahory, born in Lisbon in 1982, is an architect and interior designer. After completing her architecture degree, including a senior year in Rome in 2005, she returned to Portugal to collaborate with her father. During this period, she worked on various projects while developing her own practice, focusing on restaurants and private residences.

In 2011, Ana co-founded the AnahoryAlmeida Studio with Felipa Almeida. Over nine years, they designed numerous hospitality interior architecture projects, including restaurants for Chef José Avillez and the Hotel São Lourenço do Barrocal. Their work emphasized Portuguese materials and involved collaborations with local artists and artisans. In 2020, they decided to close the studio to pursue individual ambitions.

Since then, Ana has focused on Estúdio Lisboa, a project she previously founded with her husband, José António Uva. Estúdio Lisboa develops hospitality projects in Portugal, offering services from conception and architecture to design and operations management. Each project highlights a sense of place, working with Portuguese materials and craft techniques in collaboration with local artisans, resulting in timeless and simple designs.
