I’m Ana Anahory, I live and work in Lisbon, where I was born in 1982. I graduated in Architecture at Universidade Lusiada de Lisboa in 2005, having completed my senior year at Falcoltá de Valle Giulia in Rome. Back in Portugal, I started working at Anahory Projectos with my father, where I had the opportunity to work on several different projects along with my own activity, most of which are restaurants and private homes.

In 2011, with Felipa Almeida we founded the AnahoryAlmeida studio. During 9 years we designed several interior architecture projects in hospitality, including restaurants for Chef José Avillez and the hotel São Lourenço do Barrocal. In each project, we had the opportunity to create furniture and collaborate with artisans in the pieces that gave a sense of a place to the to each project. In 2020 we decided to close the studio and follow our own ambitions.

I believe a project should respond to the clients’ ambitions for the creation of a concept based on natural and local materials. Through subtle and neutral colors, the final result must be comfortable, functional, and timeless. A project cannot be done alone, it needs applied craftsmanship to be complete and cohesive. Hence feeling the need to create unique pieces.
